Shelters, hotlines, psychosocial support, legal aid, and safe spaces must be adequately financed.

3. TRAIN POLICE & JUSTICE SYSTEMS

Officers, prosecutors, and judges must handle cases professionally and survivor-centrically.

4. PROVIDE SURVIVOR-CENTERED HEALTHCARE

Hospitals must offer free, confidential, and immediate medical assistance — including forensic exams.

5. COLLECT & PUBLISH DATA

Transparency drives accountability. Without data, GBV remains hidden.

6. ENGAGE COMMUNITIES

Governments must partner with grassroots groups, leaders, and civil society to prevent violence.

BOTTOM LINE:
There is NO EXCUSE for governments to delay, deny, or underfund GBV action.
