Follow the Data. Follow the Money.
Without data and funding, GBV prevention is only a slogan — not a solution.
1. DATA REVEALS THE REALITY
Accurate reporting shows where violence happens, how often, and who is most at risk.
2. DATA DRIVES BETTER POLICIES
Governments cannot design effective GBV programs without evidence.
3. BUDGETS SHOW TRUE PRIORITY
If GBV services are not funded, survivors cannot access help.
4. TRACK BUDGET ALLOCATION VS. RELEASE
Money approved is not the same as money spent — communities must check both.
5. TRANSPARENT REPORTING BUILDS TRUST
Publishing case data and spending reports strengthens public confidence.
6. COMMUNITIES MUST DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY
Ask: Where is the data? Where is the budget? What was achieved with the funds?
BOTTOM LINE:
What gets measured gets changed — and there is NO EXCUSE for hiding data or underfunding GBV response.
